Packing
for Your Honeymoon
No matter where your destination,
you want to look your best on your honeymoon, without bringing
your entire wardrobe! Make a detailed list of everything you
think you might need, keeping in mind your length of stay and
your vacation spot.
Travel
light and remember that in most places, you should be able to
find a shop where you can replace an item or purchase a piece
of clothing that was missed.
Clothing
Rather than packing
lots of different outfits, try bringing mix 'n match pieces,
which will give you more options (and will cut down on the number
of shoes you need to bring).
Toiletries
Just about all toiletry
necessities are available in a travel size. If you can't find
a certain item, them simply fill a small plastic container with
the amount you need.
Medications
Prescriptions, over-the-counter
medication and vitamins must remain in their original containers.
A customs officer will confiscate all medication that is not
labeled.
Luggage
Usually one lightweight
bag offers more flexibility than a couple of suitcases. But if
you need more than one piece of luggage, be sure to get luggage
with wheels. Always attach a tag with your full name, address
and phone number to each piece of luggage you take.
Carry-On Luggage
In your carry-on luggage,
bring your tickets, passports and/or visas, cash, traveler's
cheques, credit cards, jewelry, medication, hotel vouchers. If
possible, include a change of clothes and some toiletries in
case your luggage is delayed.
Small Appliances
Most accommodations
provide hair dryers, clothing irons and alarm clocks, but it's
always best to check before you leave for your vacation.
