A Worthy Venue

I’ve worked with many a bride and although they may all be thinking it, I’ve never heard one of them say to me “It’s all about the dress.”  Sure, the dress is important.  But is it any more important than say your venue?

Ok, I have a feeling I’m going to hear quite a few rebuttals on this one and so let me just say right now, I do love a knock-out wedding gown. But a venue that conveys a couple’s unique personalities, offers the freedom of versatility and looks this amazing in your pictures?  Now that’s what makes mama’s heart go pitter-patter, pitter-patter!

So let me take a moment and introduce you lovely ladies to the Windmill Winery. The lovely Brittany Hansen of Brushfire Photography sent us these gorgeous images exposing the grounds surrounding the Windmill Winery in Florence, AZ. Brittany captured the true essence of this stunning venue in her blog when she described it as a “vintage, rustic, shabby-chic location for your wedding.”  And I couldn’t agree more.

This place has so much personality and character; it’s practically an off-Broadway show all in itself!  In fact, I challenge any wedding gown to stand up next to this venue and try not to feel like a stage-hand!

Ok, ok. Perhaps I’ve gone too far. In a perfect world, we’d have this gorgeous venue as our backdrop, a show-stopping gown on our leading lady and a fairy-tale love story to balance it all out. Ahh, a girl can dream… can’t she?

These are beautiful! I especially love the ceremony set up, it’s breathtaking. The photos are so inspirational for the ever so popular ‘vintage themed’ weddings – thanks for sharing!

Love these! Looks like a lovely place for a wedding, it has such beautiful, warm peaceful feel to it. If I could do my wedding all over again, I’d most certainly choose a vintage theme…

Stunning!
