Anticipation. It’s felt in the moments before a big event. Usually an event you’ve been looking forward to for some time now. You likely get the jitters running throughout your body, but in a really good way. You start tapping your foot, feeling like you just can’t wait anymore. Then the music starts and your beautiful soon-to-be wife starts walking down the aisle. But still, it’s a long trip down the aisle, so you lean over to peek at her before she reaches you. A giant smile plastered to your face.

That’s what I like to imagine groom Rob was feeling right before he said his vows to Jen. Amazingly talented photographers Anne and Bill Holland of Charlottesville, Virginia, shot Jen + Rob’s wedding and caught this moment absolutely perfectly. Rob had been waiting at the altar for long enough, and all he wanted was to catch a glimpse of his almost-wife.
And you can’t blame him. Jen looked incredible in her wedding gown and custom-made Stuart Weitzman shoes to match. Once the couple is reunited at the altar, the smiles never leave their faces – from the photos of them walking down the streets to the shots of them at the pizza shop where they got engaged – to the beautiful reception.
Looks like all that anticipation was worth it. And luckily for Jen+Rob what comes after all the anticipation is even better.
