A small town love is anything but small. In fact, often times it’s greater than any other kind of love. It’s the type of love song after song has been written about. And it’s often the type of love that starts early and lasts forever.
Sabrina + Jason met in high school in their small town of Willard, Missouri; and after four years of dating, Jason asked Sabrina to marry him. The fabulous Christian Gideon shot their engagement photos in that very same small town where they grew up.
Appropriately, the photo series reflect Sabrina + Jason’s idea of a perfect small town date. And because the photos show the couple so entirely in their element, it’s incredibly easy for them to get comfortable and let their true feelings for each other shine through. From the images of Sabrina + Jason fishing off the bridge to the photos of the pair on a quilt in the middle of a field with Sabrina’s head in Jason’s lap, we get a feeling of pure, natural love. Easy love. But I especially love the photos of the couple holding hands in the middle of the vacant downtown street, proclaiming that they’ll stick together no matter what.
Who says the city is the best place to find true love? Many of us prefer the slow-paced, easy-going ways of a small town, and all the passion that comes along with it. Sabrina + Jason have a big love in a small town. And what more could you want than that?
